The 2018 Blind Monkey Collaborative was created for you. Disconnect from the WiFi and join us on a journey of true connection, community, and self-discovery.

Bring out your inner artist, participate in movement classes, learn about healing through sound, Mayan mythology, and so much more. Reconnect to yourself through music, spoken word, fire ceremonies, Mayan sauna, or even silence. This time, this experience, is yours. What will you discover?

Thursday Night Only

Spoken Word, Poetry, and Storytelling will be featured on Thursday night, April 12th. Poets and writers from the area will share their wisdom and insight through live, spoken word.

Bellydancers and firespinners will enhance the evening by performing before, during, and after the spoken word artists. Sit back and relax under the stars and around the bonfire while enjoying the unique sights and sounds.

Two collaborative art projects

Whether you are an artist, a wanna-be artist, or just want to tap into your inner creativity, you will enjoy collaborating on our 2 large art projects. Lead by one of our local artist/teachers, Carin Steen. She has created these 2  art projects for all to participate…

Our mural will begin with six 4 x 8 ft canvasses set up in different places around the Earth Lodge. We will supply the paint, brushes, and a guideline for the design. You will supply the creativity. After completion of the six canvasses on Saturday afternoon, they will be joined together to create one large 8 x 24 ft mural and donated to a local school.

Weaving has been an integral part of the Mayan culture for thousands of years.  Instead of the traditional backstrap loom used by the Mayan women, we will provide a 4′ x 10′ ft wall of hardware cloth for you to weave and attach things to. We will provide an assortment of fabric strips and other fun objects to create a wall of art to be donated to a school in the Antigua area.

Morning flow

An all-levels, one hour yoga class will be offered every morning at 7 am for those of you with 3-DAY EVENT PASSES as well as those DAY PASS holders who choose to stay the night.

Prepare your mind and body for a full day of activities with a Certified Yoga Instructor.

Yoga mats and grass mats will be provided, but feel free to bring your own.

Unwind in the evening
Wood Fired Mayan Sauna

The traditional wood fired Maya sauna will be available from 6 am to 11 pm.

The traditional Mayan sauna, known as a “Chuj” or “Tuj”, is a low adobe structure laid with a wood fire over which stones are set. Once heated, the stones are sprinkled with water to create steam. Good for reducing pain and stress in the body.

Join us to enjoy the sounds of Maf É Tulà.
You don’t want to miss this talented artist’s performance, 7 – 9.

Live Music

We are proud to feature Nelson Lunding and his band. Dance the night away to the fun, upbeat, and hip-shakin’ tunes from 7-9pm.
